Apologies for the slow updates over the last couple of weeks. Busy times.
As the end of season draws in, this newsletter will likely get shorter. I expect to have plenty of CX results to report over the coming month or so though.
As for this week, just a few results:
Pete Hook rode the Scarborough Paragon hilly 10 mile TT at the end of August. He took a course PB and 6th overall.
Rob Pape rode the Wednesday night Cross race in Hull. No official results yet but Rob thinks he was top 6.
And last weekend (3rd September), Chris Clark was North of the border in Peebles, racing in the MTB XC Scottish National Championships, where he took the win in the Veteran Male category to become Scottish National Champion! Chris has just one race left before calling to a close a very impressive season off-road.
Well done everyone.
Nobody’s contacted me with their upcoming fixtures this week, but i’m Pretty sure a few of our lads will be at this weekend’s Yorkshire CX Rnd 2 at Temple Newsham. Let me know how you’ve got on.
Dom has proposed a date for the next club meeting, Sunday 1st October at 7pm in Brigantes, Micklegate. Let Dom know by email if you can or can’t make it so we can reschedule if necessary. Subjects up for discussion will include the Club Secretary position, Reliability Ride and new club kit.
