Here's your weekly VC update:
Pete Hook raced in the East Bradford 15 mile TT on Sunday, taking a 1min10 PB and finishing around 12th overall.
Jonny Apaloo was in the Peter Taylor Memorial RR on Sunday at Newbald.
"Tough and hilly 2/3/4 and managed to keep on with the bunch which was whittled down to 20 or so by the last lap. Managed to get a 13th place so a haul of 3 points .... happy with my performance against some very strong riders."
Chris Clark and Pete Lambert were in the inaugural Yorkshire MTB Marathon at Birdsall, a tough 80km route where less than half the field finished. Chris finished around 12th, on the same time as riding partner Amy Souter. Pete took a wrong turn and ended up missing a few KMs of the second lap, so despite the official results putting him in 11th, he's probably not going to frame that and put it on the wall.
Honourable mention for Hutch's lad, Zachery, who got his hands in the air at York Sport in the kids races last night! Well done Zachery!
Pete Hook has a couple of local TTs this week followed by the Yorkshire Road Club 25mile TT on Saturday.
Jonny Apaloo raced in Round 4 of the NYERRL at Kirby Misperton last night - results to follow next week. He'll be in the LVRC race at Sheriff Hutton on Sunday morning.
Chris Clark will be racing in Round 4 of the National MTB XCO Points Series at Dalby this Sunday.
Good luck, everyone.
Chaingangs continue as normal. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6pm at B&Q on Osbaldwick Link Road. Road resurfacing works are now complete so we can go back to the Easingwold route on Tuesday nights (although maybe the occasional diversion to Malton will be in order)
