Here's your weekly club update...
Jonny took 6th place in the NYERRL at Milby on a very fast night. Only a couple of bike lengths between first and 6th.
Pete Hook was in the Halifax Imperial Wheelers 25 mile TT on Saturday, taking a course PB by 1min40. He then went on to finish 5th in the Yorkshire CX race on the Knavesmire on Sunday.
Rob was also involved at the Yorkshire CX on Sunday, then went on to race the prestigious Otley Crit on Wednesday, putting in a very strong race in tough conditions (A few of us were there - it was very wet). He finished in the bunch behind a two man break who spent the entire race out in front.
Chris did the Midlands XC double header on Saturday and Sunday. He took the win by a large margin at Parkwood Springs on Saturday, then punctured from first place at Rother Valley on Sunday. He finished the race on a marshall's bike but was subsequently disqualified for that illegal bike change.
Jonny is in action at the Velo Club Beverley/Wilson's Wheelers 2/3/4 road race at South Dalton this Sunday.
Pete Hook raced the Clifton evening TT last night (result to follow in next week's update).
Chris is a bit further afield this week. He's in France, preparing for this weekend's Alpine Cup at Mont Blanc, one of the hardest MTB races in the world. The 140km race takes in over 7000m of ascent and is expected to take around 10 hours. The start town, Combloux in Megeve, sits at around 1000m above sea level.
Good luck to the racers!
Have a great week, everyone.
