As cyclists, word-of-mouth As cyclists, word-of-mouth recommendations and reviews of products, services, routes, etc. can be invaluable in our decisions to spend time and money. As mentioned in the last club meeting, we’d like to provide a platform here on the VC York website for club members to sing the praises of those things relevant to our collective interests.
If you have got a review, positive or negative, of anything bike-related, and you’d like to share that wisdom with the group, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dom Brown, recently enjoyed a bit of an epic adventure in the alps with Chainlynx self-guided tours - an experience he heartily recommends. His words, below:
Alpine cycling holidays in the French Alps for all levels of rider.
“Me and two friends spent a week in Montgenevre as part of the Chainlynx self guided tours. we were fortunate to have a week of solid sunshine in a beautiful awe inspiring part of the world. It is close to some of the iconic climbs - Col Dizoard, Galibier, Alpe D.Huez.
“Craig was a wonderful host and was able to provide knowlegdable guidance on routes for our capabilities and needs. We hired quality bikes through Craig. He was able to provide just the right amount of help, guidance and care for our needs that made it such a successful week.
“To give some context here we are in our mid to late 50's and were able to manage all the routes. There are some local routes that have have some wonderful quiet roads and cols locally for cycling. Lunch time and cafe stops in remote areas were not an issue with good food, coffee and cakes.
“To cap it all this was one of the best holidays that I have had and I can recommend Chainlynx.”
